DragoN managed to interview the management of one of the best Israeli teams, TeamNET, about the team's Enemy Territory squad.
You can learn a lot about the team, the management and more from this article.
Xayon, the main team manager, bab, the ET squad leader, and DantZ, the CS squad leader, had a lot to say about their great ET squad, Enjoy.
All you ET fans know pSychotic.ET, which recently joined the big known CS team, TeamNET, creating a big, strong multi-gaming team, under the name of NET-Gaming.
I managed to interview NET|bab, the ET squad leader, with a lot of reputation behind him, Daniel 'bab' is leading this team through the IOC and ClanBase OpenCup Second Division.
This is what Daniel has to say:
Can you please tell us about TeamNET ET Squad?
We started off as "pSychotic" about one and a half years ago, been through a lot ever since but we're still depended on our core of 4-6 guys who've been playing ever since. Recently we have joined TeamNET, one of Israel's top CS clans, which is also the home of some great guys we had the pleasure of meeting. Our clan is run mostly by 3 guys: I (Daniel), Ori (Riko) and Udi (bigdaddy), each one of us contribute in his own field of expertise
What do you think about your team, as a former Insanity! Gaming ET squad player?
I believe we're a strong team with an unlimited potential, and we're also great friends outside the server. I think that with a certain amount of time and practice, we'll be able to reach a high level and hopefully make our mark on the European ET scene.
What do you wish to achieve as a player in NET? After all, you were a player of the 2nd best team in Europe.
No matter the clan, there's always an ambition to reach the top spot. We're not intimidated by Ins's achievements, only inspired and motivated to outrun them and hopefully display our true skill.
What do you expect TeamNET to achieve as a team, both in Israel and in Europe?
In the Israeli scene, we're currently participating the IOC and willing to give all we got in order to claim the throne. In the European scene, our current goal is winning the second league. After that we would like to succeed in the summer cup, and afterward receiving an invitation to the EC qualification stage.
Do you think that TeamNET may achieve what eSr, and your former team, ins achieved?
Time will tell.
Can you tell us about the competitions TeamNET is taking part of?
In Israel, we're participating in the IOC and remain undefeated so far, and of course, we'll also be taking part in the upcoming LAN party, making our dash towards the top spot. In Europe, we've made it to the 2nd division's playoffs holding a perfect winning streak. We're also taking part in the 3v3 SM-Ligan, mostly for our own enjoyment :>~.
SM-Ligal
What do you think about the IOC?
In my opinion, this tournament is managed perfectly so far. It’s a great achievement to the Israeli ET community and its teams and supervisors.
And what can you tell us about NET's achievements so far?
So far, we're the 1st runners up in Israel, after eSr won the top spot at the last LAN party. TeamNET is currently undefeated both in ClanBase and in the IOC. We hope to keep it that way for as long as possible.
Do you think that moving from pSy to TeamNET, was the best thing for your team?
By far, it's the largest progress we've made so far. We're extremely proud and happy to be a part of this team and highly motivated to push harder and higher. We hope for a long and productive partnership between the teams.
Do you think the Israeli teams have chance of winning any European cup this year?
We believe we can make it to the 2nd divisions final and claim ourselves a nice spot. Besides us, EnD may hold some chance at taking a good spot in the 1st division.
What do you think about NET's achievements on 3DV LAN?
I'm disappointed about our result (ET), we won all the games until the final and needed only 1 round, but we lost both rounds, but we learned from our mistakes and will do everything to win next LAN. The CS did a great job and won the tourney, Congratulations to them. If we look at the final result NET did a good job at the LAN, taking 1st on CS and 2nd on ET.
Do you feel disappointed because you got 'only' to the 2nd place?
Yes, we came to the LAN to take 1st place and we were really close to achieve that. We are always hoping to take the 1st spot and any other result is disappointing for us.
What do you think about the way you played on the LAN, as a team? You think you made some critical mistakes, or EnD was just better?
We played good until the final, we were better than END in all the games until the final, we won them at the semi finals, and we thought that the LAN was ours because we were playing really good. But then at the final we played really bad, and that's another reason for our anger. Because it wasn't that EnD had a great game, it was our fault because we played really bad, maybe it was because we were tired or something, but what people see is the final result and EnD played better on the final and won the game.
Do you have something you want to add?
I just want to give 'dashim' to all TeamNET, ET & CS. especially to Roadkill, rik0, predz, dantz & Ramzi!!
What do you think about NET's management?
Since we've joined, our management has been working overtime in order to put things together for the maximal benefit of both squads.
From this question, I moved to Xayon, TeamNET's manager, with a few questions.
Xayon, tell us about your work in NET.
I joined not so long ago to NET in purpose of helping NET manager Kerr when he is in the army, my primary work is to make sure the new site will be as best as possible and active, including writers news and so on...
What can you tell us about TeamNET's Enemy Territory squad?
Until now from what I have seen we got a strong competitive team, she is leading in the IOC and winning every game she has, the choice of adding her to NET was good hope to see that continue in the future.
How you think you can help this team?
The same way I can help anyone in anyway I want, just trying, working hard, knowing what I want to achieve and getting it, simple :D
Do you think that NET.ET has a good future coming?
Sure I do, like I said before they are a great team now and I am positive that it will continue in the future.
And for another interest item, when TeamNET's website will be up?
Amm... I don't want to give any special details, new site new surprise, but soon really soon :P
And what the CS squad had to say about their new team? I managed to catch NET|Dantz for a small talk.
What do you think about your new ET squad?
I think they are great. Great people a lot of fun.
What do you think about NET's achievements on the last LAN party (3DV @ 15/4/2005)?
The CS squad placed 1st and the ET squad placed 2nd, can't complain :)
Do you think the LAN helped you know each other (ET & CS) better?
Definitely, it's nice to put faces to the voices you hear at the ventrilo.
Last thing, Congratulations for winning the 1st (CS) & 2nd (ET) places on 3DV LAN!
Thank you ;)
