Here are a few steps to remove the virus :
Step A : (Closing the process)
First of all close your mirc so you would not adv and get your friends infected aswell , also CLOSE any other program running except for this web browser.
Now press ctrl+alt+delete and sort the items by user :
You should notice a *.exe file you dont recognize since if you did close all of your programs there should be only explorer.exe , virusname.exe and a few more windows processes.
Now end the virusname.exe process by marking it and clicking the "End process" .
Step B: (Search and delete the files)
Go to your local windows search for the virusname.exe , you should find two files :
1. c:\windows\system32\virusname.exe
2. c:\windows\prefetch\virusname.exeblabla.pf
Delete both of them and empty your recycle bin.
Step C: (Remove the startup item)
Any mirc worm usually leaves a startup item so if you end her process when you restart your computer it would be relaunched , so to remove that aswell go to :
Startmenu --> run --> type : "msconfig" and go to the reboot tab.
now you should notice a virusname.exe item , remove the V from it.
worms are ichsa ™ so dont enter links in irc.
Btw congratz , your computer is now worm-free .
